The named Hospital which has been built in the late sixties of the last century (planned by Architect Gustav Peichl) shared the location with the UKH. The aim was to create new space for wards and the day-clinic to get enough space in the existing building for examination, treatment and administration. One focus was the implementation of special forms of therapies for neuro-rehabilitation like music- or painting-therapy.
