Linz Accident Hospital campus: perfect synergy.

Moser Architects planned this new project as an accident hospital with adjoining office building and staff quarters to be erected from scratch on a plot directly adjacent to Linz General Hospital.

Less condensed, flexible design.

The individual functional groups of the hospital, the office building and the staff quarters were structured into clearly defined elements. The volumes were grouped to make sure that a spacious, park-type courtyard zone would arise on one side, flanked on the other side by a visually striking street space.

Spatial design and organisation.

All communication zones as well as the hospital rooms face the garden. All motorised traffic is concentrated and directed to the individual operational units along the side facing away from the courtyard.

Quality standards and organisational structures.

The project combines the most important design elements impacting quality in hospital architecture: unity of technology and structural design, integration into the surrounding landscape as well as intelligent, modern spatial organisation. The architecture of Linz Accident Hospital blends functionality and efficiency with a strong aesthetic effect.
