A competition for the “Schöndorfer Plateau”.

The location chosen for the new Provincial Hospital in Vöcklabruck was the “Schöndorfer Plateau” situated in a new urban development zone. The integration of this complex was taken account of in an urbanistic competition for the area, which was conducted as early as in 1998.

The main task of Vöcklabruck Provincial Hospital lies in the delivery of medical care for the Upper Austrian Salzkammergut region. With its 561 beds and all necessary wards, the Provincial Hospital in Vöcklabruck is a key point of reference for medical care delivery in the region.
